Darren Gibson
Darren G. Gibson is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in federal and state courts across the country. Gibson's practice focuses on defending private and public-sector employers and individuals in a range of employment-related disputes, including individual and class action discrimination claims, wage and hour collective actions, whistle-blower suits, First Amendment retaliation, and non-compete agreements, among others. He has litigated cases before courts across Texas, including first-chair jury trials, and he has argued appeals before the Fifth and Ninth Circuits. Gibson also represents employers in administrative investigations and proceedings and regularly advises his clients on compliance with federal and state employment laws. Gibson is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Gibson also has extensive experience defending universities, school districts, and individuals in employment and Title IX litigation and conducting investigations on behalf of universities and school districts into employee misconduct and Title IX compliance. In addition, Gibson serves as an independent Title IX hearing officer in university appeal hearings.
