Cathy Box, PhD
Cathy Box is an associate professor and director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship at Lubbock Christian University where she also serves as the Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) Director. She has been in education for over 25 years, 12 of which have been at LCU. In her duties at LCU she provides professional development and enrichment programs for all faculty. She leads a Learning Academy where faculty scholars find ways to enhance learning and improve achievement in their college courses, and she teaches graduate education courses that focus on improving instruction and assessment practices in the classroom. Box is the author of the book Formative Assessment in United States Classrooms: Changing the Landscape of Teaching and Learning, published by Palgrave Macmillan in 2018 and serves as a consultant working with schools, teachers, and faculty at the local, state, and national level.
