Dave Yearwood
Dave Yearwood is a professor, graduate director and former chair of the technology department at the University of North Dakota. Yearwood has been teaching in higher education for 26 years at the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has been recognized nationally by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) as Outstanding Professor in the areas of teaching, research, and service. His areas of research interests include electronic pedagogy and the study of control or semi-automatic systems for use in commercial and/or consumer settings. Yearwood is an education consultant and has conducted numerous workshops on local, regional, national, and international platforms on the use of technology to facilitate purposeful learning. Yearwood also has extensive experience designing and developing instructional multimedia modules as standalone units or as supplements for use in blended classrooms. He currently records podcasts for courses he teaches and leads a podcast called "Statistically Speaking" which is posted on UND iTunes University.
Yearwood earned his BS from Bemidji State University in Minnesota, his MS from the University of North Dakota in industrial technology, and a PhD in teaching and learning also from the University of North Dakota.
