Mary Clement
Mary C. Clement is a professor of teacher education at Berry College, north of Atlanta. She teaches graduate courses in curriculum theory, instructional management, and supervision and undergraduate courses in foreign language methods. She directed the colleges Center for Teaching Excellence for eight years. Clement has been researching the hiring of new teachers for over twenty years, and received the 2013 Star Award from the American Association for Employment in Education for her writing in the field of K-12 teacher hiring. She was the international president of Kappa Delta Pi from 2012 to 2014, and has given presentations throughout the U.S. as well as China, Germany, Canada, and Namibia, Africa.
She earned her EdD in curriculum and instruction from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has authored and coauthored 13 books including The Definitive Guide to Getting a Teaching Job, Get a Teaching Job NOW, First Time in the High School Classroom, and The Induction Connection.
