Vicki Caruana
Vicki Caruana is an associate professor of education at Mount Saint Mary College in New York. She prepares teacher candidates in a dual certification in special education program for both elementary and secondary teachers. She has created entire programs in higher education and has served as an accreditation lead, an assessment coordinator, and reviews curriculum at both the K-12 and higher education levels. Caruanas PhD is in curriculum and instruction and she has mentored faculty at several institutions to create meaningful learning experiences in both traditional and online contexts. She is a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer and has created evaluation tools to determine teaching effectiveness and quality learning experiences for students. Caruana has authored more than 30 books for both teachers and parents, including the best-selling Apples & Chalkdust: Inspirational Stories and Encouragement for Teachers.
