Frequently Asked Questions
The first Teaching Professor Conference was in 2004.
Invited and selected sessions are listed on the website under the Program tab near the top of the page. Sessions will also be available in the conference app (published about two weeks before the start of the conference). A downloadable program is available about two weeks before the conference.
There are six preconference workshops available (additional registration fee required). Click on the Program menu at the top of the page to navigate to the Preconference Workshops.
The 2025 Teaching Professor Conference will be held June 6-8 In Washington, DC. Then in 2026, we will move to St. Louis.
The call for proposals is posted to the conference website in early August of the year prior to the conference. The call for proposals is open for submissions until mid-October. Accepted presenters are notified in January. After the call for proposals has been closed, no new submissions will be accepted.
We do not offer scholarships or financial assistance to attend the conference.
Attendance can range from 800 to 1300 faculty and staff.
This is a non-disciplinary conference. We welcome educators from all levels and departments to participate. Educational developers, instructional designers, academic leaders, and secondary-school educators might also find value in the conference.
Responsibility for safety and wellbeing during The Teaching Professor Conference is shared among the conference organizers and presenters, the venue, and the attendees. We will be following local and national (CDC) guidelines as they are stated during the time of the conference.
